These assets are a part of my main project Bike Shed Motorcycle Club.
Due to the scope of the project I had to think about making things more efficiently. Instead of sculpting every asset uniquely I decided to try and make a Substance Designer material that could be applied to multiple furniture pieces with minimal sculpting effort.
This approach was inspired by Jonathan Benainous' Chesterfield Material work. Only in my case, instead of tessellating the mesh I made a low poly based on the texture.
This method is really good for achieving variety efficiently without spending hours in ZBrush, but has some drawbacks in control over the UVs.
I want to thank my supervisor Jason Gullion for guiding and supporting me through this workflow!
